Archiving

We firmly believe that part of our role in the community is to help save and preserve the digital media history of Easton.  In fact, as technology makes it easier than ever to create and shares pictures, it often becomes more challenging to find and preserve those meaningful moments and memories that become part of the collective history of the community.  ECAT has forged partnerships with the Easton Historical Society, the Ames Free Library and the Council on Aging to help preseve stories and memories as well as transfer tapes and films to digital mediums for future generations.  We have also begun an offsite collection on the Internet Archive.
