GUIDELINES
At least one team member must be present at the opening ceremony on June 24th at 7 p.m. at 50 Oliver St. in North Easton, MA. A team member will draw a random theme, object, and general location out of a hat. The variables assigned to you must be included in the film. The competition begins at 8 p.m. that night. All films must be uploaded to our designated site by 12 a.m. on June 29th in .mov format. You can only use completely original material. No pre-production is allowed. All writing, filming, acting, and editing must take place during the 100 hour period. Actors and crew may be selected in advance. Filming with phones is accepted. The films must be a maximum of five minutes in length, not including credits. Source materials licensed under Creative Commons or without copyright are allowed. The content of your film must not exceed a PG-13 rating. Your film must be deemed acceptable to air by the ECAT staff and judges. ECAT equipment is available to Easton residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Non-residents are unfortunately given second priority. However, if you lack the proper equipment, ECAT will assist you in acquiring the resources you need for a proper film. All equipment borrowed from ECAT must be returned in the same condition as you received it in. You will require a brief training session on operating and maintaining the equipment. Films will be judged by a panel of judges. The winner will be the film with the highest total score.
